Hey WGT Golfers
I am interested in setting up an Inter-Club Competition open to the UK Clubs only, and if successful, I will open it up to the other Countries as well. The Competition will be held on a league basis format and a matchplay competition basis. The only reason I doing the UK first - time difference!!
League Basis
The competition will consist a home and away match over 9 holes. The Home captain will set the course and the conditions. The only thing that is mandatory is the number of holes played (9) and the maximum number of players playing 15 and all grades must be considered to represent their club. Each match will take place on a Saturday or Sunday. The Captains will agree which players compete against whom - preferably Legend v Legend. A pro would not be able to play against a Legend.
Matchplay Competition
The FA type knockout competition. A draw will take place to determine the draw. Each round is played within a month. Each match will only play the alternative shot format and the number of players allowed is 10, with 2 Tour Legend/Legend; 4 Tour Master/Masters, 4 Tour Pro/Pro.
