  HI

  Could someone please explain how the wedge clubs work and what clubs do they replace.Also would like wedges with slower swing meter

  I'm not sure what you mean by "how they work," but I assume you're talking about adding wedges to your bag in replace of other clubs.

  You can replace any club in your bag with your wedge except an iron from your iron set or a putter.

  First and foremost your wedges seldom replace anything but obsolete low irons (like the three iron; which is not an option in this game [meaning that you can't substitute a wedge for a 3 iron in your bag]). I say that because you can only have so many clubs in your bag in official tournament play and/or ranked rounds (IRL). Most masters on here disable their hybrid to add an extra extended wedge (GW, SW, LW). It's the only option unless you want to disable your 3w as well for another wedge.

  Most upgraded wedges only replace inferior wedges. Why? For spin, distance, trajectory, and accuracy. Oh and for a greater range of punch shots (which isn't realistic but apparently beneficial in the game).

  The upgraded wedges have an increased swing meter. What you desire isn't virtually possible. There are no upgraded wedges that incorporate a slower swing meter. However you could always upgrade your wedges and but some GI3 balls.

  Hey James,

  Wedges replace the SW and LW, however I have added a 3rd wedge and gotten rid of my hybrid club. Unfortunately you can't replace your PW as it is part of your iron set, otherwise I would have replaced it as well.  When I upgraded clubs, I found that my 3 Iron could hit a similar distance as a hybrid, making the hybrid obsolete to me. I carry a 64 degree wedge, a 60 degree wedge, and a 58 degree wedge in my bag.  Wedges are great for control shots with heavy spin, meaning if I want the ball to land on the green, and not roll at all.  When you upgrade your clubs I also recommend upgrading balls as well and investing in the G12-S balls which will slow down the swing meter of the new clubs.  Hope I was able to help.

  No problem.  My 64 degree and my 60 degree are Ping Tour-W Pro wedges, and my 58 degree is a Taylor Made Z Satin TP Pro.  The reason for that is that I wanted to minimize my distance between each club.  Here are the average distances for my short clubs:

  64 degree: 60 yards

  60 degree: 75 yards

  58 degree: 86 yards

  PW (in my iron set): 100 yards

  Be sure to take yardage into consideration when buying your clubs...you don't want to buy a wedge that hits 98 yards if your PW hits 100

  That's not necessarily true. Most of the available upgraded wedges offer a much higher spin rating than any given PW. So in the instance that you have a hundred yard shot that you need to bite or even get some backspin.. the PW will not provide that for you. The GW (gap wedge) will.

  My PW is rated @ 115 yrds and my GW @ 110 yrds. The GW provides backspin. The PW does not.

  You are absolutely right, however we only have so much room in the bag, and I want as many yardage options as possible.  I just have to know what my clubs are going to do when I swing them.

  I would really love to have WGT take the PW out of the iron set and make it an individual club so I could replace it.

  It all comes down to how comfortable you are hitting between clubs.
