Hey OB tell me Im crazy but I have conducted several speed tests using this new browser and my findings = FAIL big time fail bro. Speed much more efficient browsing and gaming using Maxthon3 non cloud edition and Chrome.

I have the cloud installed (if anyone installs the new version create a seperate Maxthon folder when asked to save and name file for obvious reasons trust me) but I will wait until their next update for it as it seems very BETA right now and like I said the speedtests suck using this new browser.

Just an FYI . The main speedtest I conducted are from HERE

Old Maxthon had a jumpy meter for me. The new one is crystal clear.

Nothing wrong with my Max3 at the moment, i'll try this later.

The left toolbar menu can be disabled in Max3 too by the way.

PJ... Not sure what your using to test this browser on that link . The only thing I saw was a ping test for internet speed. I didn't see any benchmark test for a browser. Did I miss something there?

No I only tested the way my ISP uses this browser and integrates web browsing and gaming through the internet is all. Not an actual Benchmark. Seems Ping and Upload is fine its the downloading part that stalls or slows down the longer it is downloading.

For example with Max3 non cloud my Download Averages between 23 and 27 MBPS and Chrome the same ....With this new version is more like 15 to 18 MBPS and that cant be right. Maybe the Browser is to new and is not recording speed properly ? I dont know.

I usually dont like jumping on the newest thing on the web until it has been trialed and errored properly ya know what I mean. Bet an update is soon coming for it.

At first I thought it was the proxy setting using IE Proxy but then I changed that to NO PROXY but still slow downloading :(
