So I was happily playing as an amateur, not wanting to move up to pro until I could afford clubs to cover the increased distance, when I decided to measure my skills by playing the hardest holes.
The first time I played I shot 96 on 18.
So I only play 9 and walk away with a 48, which could have been much better easily, so I was happy.
But how does such a crappy round that was 20ish shots above my average catapult me into PRO status?
While writing this it dawns on me that I remember reading it took your best 10 rounds out of 15 and maybe this just happened to be my 15th which would make sense. If anyone else has a better explanation I'd love to hear it, not looking forward to the extra yardage though, was hard enough getting onto greens in regulation as it was.
