I'm at the Pro tier and just added a 64 degree wedge to my equipment. When I try to play the BP 18 hole unlimited play, I get the message that my equipment doesn't match.
Anyone have an idea what I need to do to use my new wedge?

The reason you can't use your new wedge is that you entered the tournament as an amateur and you just been promoted to Pro. The tournament will not allow you to use the wedge as a result. Any new tourneys you enter as a pro you will be able to use your wedge without any difficulties.
OK, I guess that means since I had been playing that tournament as an amateur I will need to wait until I enter another tournament as a brand new member

Yes, it's because you have equipment that is unavailable to players of that tournament. All tournaments you enter from now on shouldn't be bothered by this except for the possibility of the same thing happened with the promotion to Master.
