Maybe that will also help alot of people with meter skips. By lowering your graphic option such as turning animated flag off and putting grid etc etc you may now have a smoother meter.

I guess some good came out of this free speed boost gift . I still do not understand how so many people never knew there was a game menu for the various options.

Just tickled me to death .

Such a massive indication of the zero due diligence of WGT and their new and existing customers.

I think its really only the PC savvy etc who will always look at WHAT options there are.

Most here will just accept what they see and play from there.

Until of course, they see someone else doing somehting diferent and want to as well and they learn about 'options' or 'preferences'

This is probably why WGT is as successful as it is.

It is able to provide a game to play, with very little setup & thought.

HOWEVER, Search the Club Players for 'hacks' or 'amateurs' or 'pros' this is where the failure is evident.

The lack of .. nurture of n00bs, the obvious inability to provide a path  to help & support.

a broken  forum search that has no importance.

Not enough admins or genuine help emails in the early days, just marketing of product that the n00bs are beyond.

Pitiful credit rewards for tiering up offer no motivation to continue.

Ultimately relying on the forums for help, in which they are usually ridiuled or baited or the thread goes off topic to an extreme that the n00b, simply .. walks away.

That search result shows a lot of lost revenue.

They claim 5 million visits per month, howevwer , what is it? amongst 50,000 regulars?  100,000? I am sure its not 5m unique visits.

I'd love to see the ratio of new accounts to those that reach Master.

And, they try to compensate this pitiful failure of retention by offering Speed Boost for xmas. Some kind of revenue raiser dressed in a gifts clothing, that even the n00bs find transparent enough to leave a bitter taste in their mouth and finally make a first post in the forums asking for HELP on how to get rid of the thing

lack of focus in the right areas.

Yes, Simple menu navigation and what is offered as 'default' needs to be improved. But, so does the underlying marketing and attitude of this hungry monster.

Too many chiefs, not enough indians.

Those who persevere will adhere, those that need to  have their hand held, ultimately fall away forgotten for the  $20 they may have spent in the early days.

Its so sad, very sad that it is left to the community to help the new players, those whose post are moderated and are even unable to find their way backl to their post..

Those that from other countries have zero support in their language or time zone.

    *shrugs*

The community here generates more income for WGT they they can instigate.
Apparently ad-words,  organic linking & some brand names is enough for them, no foresight in retention and development of members.

The coffers a lined, thats all that matters right?

The naivety of WGT marketing and promotion is abysmal.

Nice to see the Speed Boost is now finally turned off by default.

I'd be embarrassed if that was my idea.
