Steve442:
So that eagle you made at St. Andrews was really an albatross was it?
(3 shots count as 4)
That would make believe that there is a Par 6 where 4 is an eagle.
Or a flexi-Par hole like this one in Tunisia:
Close to the end of a good day, we came to a long hole (*). My caddie asked what would be his reward for a birdie, i might be able to play the first of the day?
I announced 5 Denar to him. I hit a nice drive, though a wee bit leftish into the 1st cut. Then I saw the benefit of this hole, easing it remarkably: The second shot was over a hill and might roll down quite a bit towards the hole, leaving a fair birdie chance. Alas, I choked from the rough, missed the green and two-putted for a six.
My caddie advanced to me cheering: "Birdie! This is a Par 7!" (sic!)
