I play a C.C. tournament okay? I play the back nine at Andrews. Playing one of the better games I ever had and on the last putt on the last hole (12 inches away) I get disqualified because the tournament ended.

So, I waste the life of my golf ball during the nine holes, and on the very last putt that would have gone in the hole, a message pops up and says "the tournament is now over, and your game is not counted."

Why not let those who have started the tournament finish the tournament?

    hi

I am sorry to hear that but tournaments have hard deadlines, otherwise, you can start a round and go home for a weekend and everyone else has to wait...

Fair point about tournaments having deadlines Icon. But why not let the player know the deadline is up exactly when it's up........Instead of letting the player play the whole round .....and then informing them on the very last shot?

The deadline could have come immediately after the very 1st tee shot..........Why not inform us then?

The more holes you play, the more likely you are to knock a ball in the water or out of bounds.

I'd guess it might be due to the fact that NO ranked round is consiered finished until the last shot is made. Until that point you're just knocking balls around as far as WGT is concrned.

No excuse for the OP's not knowng when the tourney would end. CC tournaments with a deadline usually have a countdown clock  on the main page ( bottom right corner) and all the WGT weekly tourneys end at 11:59 PM Pacific time Sunday night. If that timer shows17 minutes left then I know i'd better get it finished in 17 minutes..if I don't think I can, then I won't waste my time/balls playing the round.

I've fallen for the same trap before.  Ever since then, I always look at how much time is left to play before I start any Comp.

I also carry a bottle of Boost. If I really have to or wanted to play the Comp, I just start up the boost feature to quicken the game play up.
