  I'm fairly new and not online as often as most here. It would be nice to have a driving range to test the clubs before you purchase them. I'm a little frustrated with the wedges and the thought of buying one just to not be happy with it limits me in my development of becoming better at this. For instance one time I use the meter with how close to the green I am and the ball ends up flying by the hole and then a second time close to the same position and it comes short 6 yards. I see no consistency with these clubs. Same goes for the putter. Why not have a scale you can adjust for the green speed? I'm far from most people that play on here but it would be a nice tool to help get there.

  Effectively there is a driving range - put the game into practice mode and try out all different shots (up to 10 per hole).You can rent the clubs before buying, worthwhile if it saves you from a bad purchase.

  The wedges you have should be consistent, I think this link may help Chip and Pitch Tips but these shots need a lot of practice using varied spin to counter the lies and gradients and take notes if required

  As for the putter you can adjust the meter distance using the arrows next to the meter.

  Finally this game need a lot of practice to master (or try to) and is always a learning curve- just remember to enjoy the journey, its not all about the final destination.

  Over all the years new players have asked and asked again for a driving range and a putting green (i might have been one of them). But as you go along you can find the right options and holes on wgt to practice very efficiently. To start you should be looking for a flat fairway for shots and flat greens for putting. Record your results do the stats and you will learn. Browsing thru the tons of information in the forums also helps a lot at the beginning.

  Not sure if players would use the range if a fee of lets say 10cr or something would be taken.

  While I support the idea for a driving range, I realise that it appears unlikely that WGT are going to provide one.  My solution is the practice rounds, for new clubs I use Bethpage back 9 esp 9 - 11 just remember to set the wind to low and hit the ball in both directions, i.e. up and down the fairway to get an average that should work regardless of the wind on the day, (which of course you will adjust for).  For new putters I head to St Andrew hole 5 and 6 which are huge and have fairly flat areas.

  In my opinion, the only way to really learn shots and how the ball reacts to a variety of clubs and spins is to be able to repeat them.  Same with learning how to read greens.

  Pros drop balls when they are in practice rounds and hit shots from the same spot.  We should be able to do the same in WGT.

  The obvious solution is to allow mulligans when playing in practice mode.  Not having this feature makes no sense to me at all.  Let mullies drain our ball count, just give us the option!

  Instead we get an ornamental bag which shows up in dwarf size on the putting greens or giant size in other places.
