  I remember a conversation that folks were talking about a few weeks ago and equipment.  Things like cost and such and one of the subjects was were the balls not lasting as long as before.   

  Ok, today I started a nine round game and it started with a completely new ball after the second shot.  (Worn out normally).  I played 2 nine round games and the meter for the ball is already 1/2 gone.  Seems to me that things are indeed costing more to play.  I thought and actually backed up WGT when all this went on before.  But now I'm seeing it in a new light.  I don't think after two rounds the ball should be that far gone.  I know when I first started it wasn't like that.  

  So, I'm asking.  Anyone one else notice some odd things going on?   Has another golfer watched how fast the ball declined?  I'm now curious.

   Actually, that sounds about right. Figure two 9-hole rounds that you shoot level par. That's 72 strokes .. subtract 2 putts per hole and that leaves 36 hits that count toward your balls durability.

   Now, I don't have any idea how many hits those Max balls average but, at 2 dots, they have 1/2 dot less less durability than my Srixons ( at 100 or so hits per ball).

  I don't think they've ever reduced the life of balls.

  Ive noticed the same problem. I posted a thread regadring decline in Nike 20Xi ball durability vs ohter balls. Still awaiting an answer. Good luck and if you hear anything, please let us know.

  as far as I know, the durability has stayed the same since the ball model was implemented.

  You would think that wgt could make the max balls, as much as they charge for the things, make them last as long as the other top tier balls. ie nikes 

  I don't think that is too much to expect from a sleeve of balls that cost $6.00! Some of us who have physical limitations, such as arthritis and carpal tunnel, and the reflexes just ain't what it used to be. So, we have to use slow meter balls just to be able to come close to hitting the ding.

  And it was established that ball durability has not decreased.

  The better your game gets, the fewer times you hit the ball per round, the less frequently you have to buy balls on a per round basis.

  The most durability is 2.5 dots, and MAX balls only have 2 dots worth of durability.

  If the MAX ball meter speed, to durability, to cost ratio doesn't seem to be a good value to you - don't buy them.

  Yep agree it won't change anything----but i agree that it seems the balls DON'T  last as long as before the "game enhancements" by WGT. Just my two bits worth.
