Anybody got any tips or formulas for hitting out of mulch. Can't remember the hole but I'm pretty sure it was Kiawah. There's some trees to the right of the pin and I put my shot in them. Had a short shot to the pin so I used a flop shot at 100% and the ball went 0...did not move at all.

Wondering if this was a "glitch in the matrix" or can you not flop out of mulch.

Mulch seems to be a little harder to get out of that a reg. ruff.  I always use a full 64deg. wedge and just chock down

There're a couple of mulch shots I think but the one on Hilversumsche is 75 to the pin and I hit it 100 and it gets me close . .

From mulch it is either a punch or full shot both work fairly well. But if you are where I think you were nothing might have helped. The ball is right at the base of the tree and the only way to get it to move is  to go backwards.

Or sideways depending on how close you are to the tree.

I have found that Pitch, Chip and Flop shots just don't work. Don't move the dot on the ball, leave it near the top and use Full or Punch shots. You may find that the ball will only go half the distance (maybe) of the shot you take. Best to find a safe place to lay up.

Was in there the other day. My best advice is don't go there LOL I got out with a full shot wedge, I think I had 27 yards & I hit it 45 . Didn't get to the green but made  the fringe
