My brother is a "master" and I'm a "tour pro."  But when we play a match (cross-country on the internet), he plays from the back tees, while I play from shorter tees.  Is there some way to configure our matches to hit from the same tees?  He just recently became a "master," and it's ruining our weekly matches.

You'll need to do it as a practice match, then everyone gets the same tees as you choose which to use.

But no points are awarded, and we can't play for points, right?  Also, my average has recently gone down from 70.72 to 67.92, and I haven't played except my weekly match with my brother.  What's going on?  This might also be why he has recently gone from Tour Pro to Master.

No stats of any kind for practice rounds, but you do get ball hit experience points..  If you want stats then ranked play will set things according to tier.  He'll be on one set of tees and you'll be on another.  No way around that in a ranked game.

The reason for the average drop is if you beat a higher tier in a ranked match, it will drop your average.  (Losing does nothing to the higher tier player.)

A few more good scores from yourself and you'll be a Master too. Problem solved.

No match play points but all the XP points are awarded in practice matches.

And, you'll be a Master, too, if you win another rated match against him.

Please allow for a curious question:

You won two matches yesterday and one the week before, on the day he became a Master. Do you remember if your brother advanced before or after the earlier match?

This week was the first time we had to play from different tees.  So he advanced after we played the earlier match.

I was going to try playing a "practice" round next week, but if beating him again will make me a master, too, that seems like the best solution.

    Thanks!

I am in the same boat as well.  my friend plays as a legend and i am TM he is hitting from 20-50 yds behind me every tee.  for the past yr he has been beating me regularly but now I am getting even.  and its hard to keep him interested in the game now that he isnt shooting -8 every time.  just look at it as getting revenge for all those battles you had when you were kids.  and as someone said you will make master soon and problem solved

Good point about all the times he used to beat me up when we were kids.  The problem is, I was beating him on a regular basis when we played from the same tees, now it's even worse with him hitting from 50 yards farther.  But like you say, if I make Master soon, we'll be back to the old ways.
