    Sometimes like tonight I'm 10 feet past the hole on 16th  at congressinal; looking from one side the putt say's a little right to left,from the other side,going a little from left to right.

    Played it straight and missed right,so that means that the reverse line was the right one.

    Should we always choose the reverse line in a similar case?

    Go into chip mode, reverse, read the single line break.
