Are the meter speeds all the same on the wedges, it looks like it in the pro shop or do some have a slightly slower speed. I use the starter + which have a slow meter and all the more expensive wedges have a lot faster meter, scary fast. How do match up meter speeds to iron sets? Thanks for all the help

You only get slower wedges from level 86 and upwards. Just one of those things I suppose.

I have  posted the same question on the forums several times and never have had a reply from WGT. It is particularly irritating when players ask questions about upgrading their equipment and the answer from the moderators is "Buy Clubs with a Similar Meter Speed"

I suppose at only having the slow meter speeds available at Level 86 it is a way to have the higher level players win all the tournaments and keep the credits in a stockpile so the rest of the players have to buy credits or do surveys to afford entry fees. It all comes down to revenue

This can be tricky as some clubs showing the same speed on the stats actually have slightly different meter speeds.  My irons have a faster meter than my wedges, I find it works OK, you just need to get used to the faster irons and then the wedges feel nice and slow.

I agree that having the slower wedges start at such high levels is wrong.  The players who can get them are the ones with most experience and therefore should be able to handle a faster meter better.

Thanks to all, does anyone know which of these 3 wedges have even a slightly slower meter, or are easiest to hit ding?

    Tour W 64° Wedge (L42+)

    TaylorMade ATV 64° Wedge (L39+)

    Cleveland CG16 64° Wedge (L31+)

The Tour W is less than half price than the other 2, are they worth the extra cost?

This has become the hardest decision I have made on purchases so far, thanks for being patient with me.

I will most likely be going with the Ping G20 Iron set (L59+) in the next few weeks. I would like to get used to a new 64° Wedge first. I plan to drop my hybrid at that time and pickup 2 more wedges to fit between the 64° and the pw
