As a cc owner I appreciate that new golfers come on every day, but I think a person should be past Hack level and a 150 average before they can apply to a club. Many of these people will never play a 2nd round but I get requests several times per day.

If we had the ability to set what level a player must be to apply to our clubs it would be nice.

We have allowed 4 players in to our club that were Hack Tier.   Only one has panned out and is still a member of the club.   About 25% success rate on Hacks,  I agree with you it is a headache.

Users have applied to WGT for (opinion) more important options for CCs, to no avail. Go figure :(

When I get a request from a player I have to consider what is more effective: Ask him if he might comply to my considerations of a supportive member of my CC before accepting him, or just let him pass and go to considerations afterwards(?)

My current procedure is the latter. Once I'm convinced that he/she will meet my one and only "hard" requirement (German language) I accept the user. It's easier to look at their record later to see if they are active, and if not they are expelled in the most friendly way - "freeing the space for active members".

I've only had one user who glistened with zero activity - he and a few other mayflys have left the CC involuntarily.

Members would have to show some commitment to the game before we took them into the club. With the website we have, we would make graphics (Sigs) for all members, and spreadsheets are set up for tournaments etc. A hack coming in and lasting a couple of weeks would be a waste of time for many of us who do the background work. Sorry, but its easier that way.

What I don't get is how does a level 1 hack, who just starting playing the same day, find my club to ask to join. We don't appear on the country club list in the top clubs. You need to really  work to find us. Makes me think  multi accounter. That's one of the reasons we only accept Tour Pro and up, aside from the fact that anything lower just doesn't seem to work out in terms of being active in the club. I have gotten 3 requests like that this past week.
