Have tried out a few balls to try and be more consistent with the ding and have mostly used Srixon with 2 dots of feel. Recently purchased the Callaway slow meter with 3 1/2 dots and unless it's my imagination the meter is slower originally but seems to accelerate as it hist the sweet spot. My first few shots, the bar went way past the ding. Also seemed like the swing meter was jerky (might just have been wgt today). Anyone else using these balls and how do you find them.

UPDATE: Thanks for the responses. I think the first day was just an anomaly as I continue to use the Callaways and am now finding the meter quite smooth and slowed down enough so that I very rarely have a club launching moment. Now just gotta find enough surveys to do on a weekly basis to keep me flush with points to purchase.

I have used the Callaway level 55+ iz legend ball almost all the time except the trying out of new or other types of balls. They used to be the ball to have but have become extremely unpredictable when attempting to get the right backspin or the right distances, and the meter speed is just a lottery and coupled with the jerky meter the game has become FUBAR compared to what it used to be.

Before the ubiquitous experts bleat in, yes I clear my cache every time, yes I hold the load meter for 3 to 5 seconds EVERY shot, yes I try different servers and no I have nothing to prove or gain to anyone.

It used to be a game that could be enjoyed but now it is a case of trying not to lose balls in every water hazard or out of bounds there is, or the meter jump that just happens to coincide with when the ding is needed most, another lost ball. Try again with the next shot and the new ball is lost  as well. Seems to be happening not just with me as well.

The greens are extremely difficult to read, if there is a read or maybe somebody snuck in at night and built in invisible ski slopes around each hole on the courses. That is if you can get the ball to stop that isn't 5.9 or 6.9 or 7.9  10 or11 feet past the hole.

I don't play very much now because of it and when I do it doesn't take long to have a serious Tourettes attack.

Since I started back playing again everything, the clubs, the balls, the wind, the distance have definitely changed for the worse IMHO.

I use this ball with no issues. I have tried just about every ball including a lot of the Nike balls and I keep going back to this one. For 3.5 dots for feel it is for sure the best ball or your buck (or credits).  Perhaps not for everyone but I really like it.  GL.  The ball I use is (34+)

i use the same balls as you.... Legend Level 55 and have  usually enjoyed playing with them!!!lol..like the distance the spin, the feel!!!!!...till bout a week ago,,,,now.. somethings changed...i still can get a fairly decent round..sporadically though....can hit ding perfect,,,and get wet balls,,,,,,which i must say i hate!!!lol..unless its by my doing:)!!! hehe..must say i usually don,t have meter jerks...but boy oh boy,,, trying to catch it lately is almost impossible.....should probably play for early or late...but i,m not physic!!!!lol.....so doesn,t do me any good there lol....seems every time they introduce a new ball it happens...but after a few grrrrrs its back to normal again.....pay pay pay!!!!!!! lmao..Still think there a good ball though!!!   IMOP

This is where programming comes in. IRL golf, I get my longest drives, and best performance using cheap Slazenger RAW distance. My friends use very expensive top tournament rated balls. My brother in law is a 2 handicap, plays golf 3-4 days a week. I will out drive him 80% of the time and my real balls cost a third of what he uses. He just putts like a machine, no green is birdie safe for him. This is where the realism between WGT and real life golf takes a dive for me (ball performance vs price of ball).

Yep in REAL LIFE CHEAP HARD BALLS FLY LIKE NO OTHERS.  CRAP FOR ANYTHING ELSE BUT THEY FLY!!    Well say crap in real life once heard a good Pro say "99% of the balls suit 99% of players and the rest is marketing".  Possibly a bit harsh but in WGT land they are reflect marketing, and so more expensive equipment WILL make a difference, unlike in real life where the difference is not so exaggerated.  Still a good game though!
