Lately, they seem to be even worse and granted I usually check but it always seems to be off when I don't.

Putts that are under 25 feet and my caddie gives me the 100ft putter, you can imagine what happens.

Before everybody piles on telling me to check, I want to say I KNOW that and usually do, but I see no reason to not get 25ft putter when it is UNDER 25ft.

LMAO, I have been burnt when I least expect. Usually when I have a decent round going. The caddie isn't the one who needs drug tested, It's the WGT programmer, who most likely has never swung a real golf club. He was told to do this, makes no sense due to the fact that putts don't take away ball life. I have had 6 foot putts 2 inches down and get a 60 foot scale. It's called stupidity. No one, not even a first time real golfer would try to hit a ball 60 feet when the hole is only 6 feet away. One more obvious lack of realism to real golf.

Some of us use a long meter putterscale for shorter putts anyway so check it yourself even though you don't want to hear check it yourself.

Funny...yep the caddie is a jerk on WGT LMAO...................That programmer has also chaned the VEM it seems so that lip outs now usually come back at you!  Ridiculous..............overall it's a good game though, but IGNORE the caddie LOL...................not the part WGT spend their money on I guess.........much more fruitful designing new slow meter balls.........................Funny thread........

I have a theory on the putter scale thing being off. WGT thinks we are so damn stupid and won't check, and they are absolutely right . Sometimes we just forget like humans do.Then, we get pi$$ed off and restart the game. The end result is balls burned and $$ earned.

If it happens on the 4th hole you likely have at least 10-12 hits on the ball. Take that X 5000 players doing the same thing (restarting) and imagine the additonal revenue WGT has created by preying on our weakness as humans. Its just my stupid human opinion.  ;)

In the end, it's the player that has to choose the club and how to hit it .

Many of us choose the putter scale so we don't often use more than 20% of a full stroke, and mostly use 15% or less of a.full stroke. The idea is to shorten the meter run length and improve dingability..

For a 25 foot putt I might choose to use 25% of the 100 foot scale. For a 25 foot putt on faster greens, I'm likely to use the 150 scale and a 155 stroke which would be equivalent to a 22.5 foot putt, but will go 25 feet or so on the faster green.

No doubt, adjustments also have to be made for uphill and downhill putts.
