    Yep, made me laugh too.

I wonder what he's got up his sleeve for his 10,000th post

    WGTadmin:
changing the location you contact the ball may create more spin and change the vertical trajectory of the ball therefore decreasing the horizontal distance traveled.

Top spin will keep the ball low. It will land a little farther and roll on.

Bottom spin will loft the ball high. It will land earlier and tend to stop.

Bottom spin with Tail wind, will loft the ball high, the ball will carry further than with top spin, it will land further away with bottom spin than it will with top spin.

Bottom spin with Head wind will loft the ball high. The wind will stop it in flight. it land short and stops.

Top spin with Head wind will keep the ball low, cut through more wind, land further than the ball with bottom spin and will also roll on.

Depending on the strength of the wind depends on your amount of spin.

You can fly over some fairway bunkers, cutting corners with tail wind and bottom spin. You cant without the tail wind.

    edit: crikey!
Old post.. oh well at least there is some Spin info in here now..

Mastering spin becomes more important the greater the 'dots' that the club has e.g; the Cally wedges

Add the balls' dots - Callies/Nikes have more grip than WGT or Srixon balls.

    Srixon balls.

However Srixons have great grip with Cleveland wedges :)

This original thread is from 2008?  Are we still trying to figure out what the red dot is??  Hope we've all figured it out by now :-)

Don't you see the big progress:

The subject of discussion has been limited to Srixons in the meantime ;->

I guess those from 2008 have, but nice to continue and old thread for those who have joined recently and dont know, instead of a mess of threads about the same thing.
