  You get socialite awards but I try and keep mine under 50 ( hard in a CC ) because maybe the rumours of more ppl on friends list affecting your meter are true...

  And I steer clear of the ppl with 100+ friends cause really, what are the chances of....

  I have a plan for the majority of people in my group of friends.. This will work to.. I am going to send almost everyone a message.. Then wait one week.. The ones who write back I keep the ones who don't I go to their profile and check the recent activity and if they were online at all during that week.. Buhh bye..Then there are some I won't even bother with because if they responded or not it would change nothing.. You kinda got me spooked with the whole meter deal though.. Is that even possible..

  I too was concerned with the meter and friends as there have been some who say it does affect the meter. I reduced my list to 4-5 at one stage and it has crept up again with no noticible impact. But now I will only keep players in my list if they play (and with each other) and/or I respect them (even if we only play infrequently together).

  I find it valuable to have a large friends list. 

  The meter is only affected when you have your alerts sound on. 

  When the sound is on, you can really feel it in the meter when they're around. 

  In the game client, hit menu, options, audio, invitation alerts off. This not only gets rid of the sound when friends come and go or invite, but keeps your meter from hiccups when they do.

  ya I think it's called the: 'I Have No Life Nor Real Friends So I Join Interactive Game Sites And Get At Least 100 Anonymous-Cyber-Friends And Pretend I've Made Real Friends Award'?

  The rumors that friend list effects meter are not clearly. I have over 100 in my friend list, it did not effects anything on meter speed. But i wonder what meanings of cyber friends? LOL. Someone in my friend list met me on greens but they did not noticed who am i, LOL.
