anyone else failing to bird par 5s like they used too?
seems i have a good round and par the 5 :(
im thinkin you gotta ding your approach shots cos miss by a hair and they are flying 15-20 ft either side.reminds me of par 3s where you gotta ding else u end up nowhere near the flag.......
more practice :)
guess not then :)

Now that you mention it, yes i am. I'm not claiming conspiracy exc.. but it is strange that par 5's that are normally easy birdies (at worst) are becoming pars more often.
I hate seeing a 5 on my scorecard! lol I'm probably just playing badly..

LMAO , just watched your replay , 181 yards to the flag on the 13th at Bethpage , thinking it must have been a helluva drive as that hole is 605 yards from legend tees , then realised........it was from pro tees , maybe not quite as magnificent as it's made out to be then .
So it's not necessarily "how you play" , it's what tees you play from .

And what gear you have, the low level R1 driver will get the ball pretty close to the green from pro tees.
I seem to be playing the par 5 holes pretty much as usual, mostly birdies and an occasion venting of the spleen when I only make par.
