Anyone else think the R1 CTTH was a competition to win an actual R1 driver? I sure did. I have been grinding on that course for weeks now. I have lost more than a dozen balls on #3 of Wolf Creek. I have worked myself into the lead and improved upon it. Then finally picked up on the word VIRTUAL in the official rules. DOH!!!! In the event that anyone else is as dumb as me. Watch out! On a separate note, it would be very cool if WGT had a contest for an actual R1 drivers. Not that it will happen...

Lol i had just asked someone why u were grinding for it and they said you were bout to hit level 98 and you didn't want to buy it. Didn't make sense to me cause i know you have credits lol. Yeah if it was for a real driver i would had been playing it seeing wolf is my favorite course on ctth.

I thought it was for a virtual R1.

Generally the only thing they give out that is real is in the form of a gift certificate.

Add one of mine on #9, a new, freshly unwrapped WGT.

These CTTHs and Blitzes take a lot of balls to their wet graves...

I then learned that I'll never get the desired driver

    1) because I shall not win my tier,

    2) because I'm far from level 98.

Thus, this competition is closed to me. Next visit to Wolfs Creek will be for fun and with Starters.

yeah between #3 and #9 I think I could have bought 2 or 3 R1's (virtual, virtual) with the number of balls in the water.  Boy what a perfect launch ramp on #3... starting pretty much from the green and like 45 degrees to send your ball flying.

They used to give real world golf equipment as prizes for the monthly tier opens back in 2009 ...maybe a request could have it return?

What about it Icon .... or MrWGT?

any other winners receive credits for the R1 as opposed to the R1?  just asking... it looks like I received credits to buy the level 48 R1 which is totally fine, it just seems strange that I could use the credits for something else.

I suppose I expected the club to appear in my equipment inventory wrapped in a nice silk bow :)  but maybe its just easier for WGT to simply award the proper credits to buy the club.  I admit I was momentarily confused in that my inflated ego hoped the credits were from some other award(s) and the club was on its way by virtual freight.
