Every so often while Flopping a shot even though it's a good meter strike the ball shanks way right. Please FIX ASAP.

    It's not a bug, it's a feature.

From real golf it's well known that the player has to open the blade for a flop shot, rising the angle for a higher/shorter shot - the flop - and at the same time changing the direction to the right. This is simulated by WGT's game, flop shots go to the right.

Thus, we have two options to hit to the flag:

    - hit the button earlier, about at the line before the ding line,

    - move the marker to the left and hit the ding.

Both are performed by various players. I prefer the latter because hitting the ding guarantees better perfection of the shot, e.g. shorter roll on backspin.

Best success I have had with the flop shot is to aim left a good 10 feet then let the marker get a bit by the ding.  The hit isn't as solid so the ball comes out a little softer.

    Alosso,

I'm with that and I agree, that's how I do line up and strike the ball, aiming left and clicking left of the Ding. However what I'm experiencing is with that correct line-up and strike "on occasion" (happened about 3 times now and even with the good strike like you mention the ball literally shanks at nearly a 90 degree angle WAY right, while all other times a normal shot is experienced.

It has to be a Glitch!!!

I use the 1st method you mentioned...hit the button earlier, 1 line before the ding line.  It's a great technique for "flopping".

My question is...does this flop method (hitting the button earlier, 1 line before the ding line) work with the NEW Cleveland 588 RTX 2.0's?

Can anyone help?  I don't want to buy them and find out this technique doesn't work.

at full backspin 10 - 20yd shot no wind it is about  2 1/2 squares to left of pin then adjust for wind that will get you in the ball park. i vary rarely use the flop i use pitch shot for 4-20 yds and full swing above 20 yds which is more accurate

Yes, at least it worked in this instance.

(using that method, depending on the circumstance and ball type, I'll use FBS or a little less, add approx 25-30% power, check for high wind direction,etc....)
