being close to the pin isnt always a good thing.
some holes i like to be under the hole with a long putt , rather than be left or right of the pin 5 feet away.
i think its rsg hole.11
being under the hole short is better then being right of the hole and say 4 feet away.
happy hitting

This is good advice, obvious advice to better players, but good advice all the same.
It's great when you are able, but there are plenty of times that no matter how much i try and avoid the danger putts, the ball will magically find the worse possible spot it can. The last 4 times I played cabo, the 18th no matter how hard I have tried for the 25 foot putt up hill as i used to make that putt plenty or at least take the par, and i know the break, I have been long right or left consistently lately. Could have something to do with it being a 1000 credit RG, who knows.
And I will point out in case I'm not clear, it's not like this every hole, just enough holes to throw a wrench in the spokes so to speak.
Anyway back on topic, I'd much rather have a 10 foot straight putt then a 6 foot bender and aim for the straight putt all the time. And in the rare circumstance that i do not know where the right landing zone is, I use the chip view to find it.
There is not much any of us can do about this VEM or deviation stuff but just grin and bear it, or vote with our wallet.
The complaint is made, if things change great, it will make for a better experience if we can just deal with our own mistakes or the just deal with general expected deviation, but I know the the lights are on but is anybody home........
Did I not see this thread somewhere else already. : )
