    HI all!

I  currently  have the Ping G20 (Steel) L83 irons.  Unfortunately they do not seem to have enough spin for my personal game, so am seeking other players advise before investing in a new set.

I've looked into the following sets as a possible  replacement  and would like to hear from others before making a final decision.  I'm considering the TaylorMade RBladez L79 and also the TaylorMade R11 (Steel) L90 which I seem to be leading toward.

Anyone's experience with these would be greatly appreciated, as I'm looking for a very accurate club, with lots of backspin to  fine-tune  my game.

    Phil

either one of these iron sets are WAY better than the G20's, or any other irons currently available ..

i have both sets & also used to play with the G20's .. there's really not any comparison & u'll notice the difference immediately .. especially in terms of accuracy & stopping power on the green ..

the trade off is a faster mtr speed & this is where ball selection can help .. i use Nike's since they have a higher feel rating than the Callies for example & they provide more spin control ..

the R11's are obviously the best, especially the 3 & 4 irons .. the Bladez are also an excellent set with a slightly slower mtr, but the long irons don't stop quite as well as the R11's .. the value of the R11's are really experienced with long approach shots into elevated greens ..

    gud luck

I went G20 (lvl 83) => RBZ => R11 and each step was a noticeable improvement. The R11 have a higher meter speed, but the RBZ's are less forgiving so it kind of evens out.

The R11 L90 is your set

    Hi,

I have RocketBladez L79, I think with my experience (i have them 3 months), I can give you honest opinion. If you looking for good stopping on green they are not great. Long irons like to roll few yards even with full bspin and best nike ball. It's because of trajectory is not very high. For sure much lower then G20. Next thing is forgiveness which seems to be a major problem with this irons if they are not dinged often or ding is missed much especially on high winds ball can land anywhere, usually very far away from pin. They are not worth their price in my opinion.

Buy R11 with better forgiveness and higher trajectory. For me "only" 50k XP and I'm buying them to. R11 irons are probably most valuable item in this game.

That was my impression as well. Anyway, OP is level 90 so he gets the R11 :)

Can't argue with you guys, I only rented G20, was not satisfied with them (because of distance) so I stick with Bladez but I had impression that on 5,4,3 trajectory was higher. If you say is lower, my mistake.

I would not bet on either, maybe the biggest distance was on the long irons. There the RBZ's definitely had an advantage. All history now :)
