  Hey,

  I just finished a game at the back 9 of St Andrews and got a score of 44 (+7). Before the game I had an average of 78 and after the game I suddenly had an average of 88! What happened there? I'd really appreciate an explanation,

  I think what probably happened is that this was your 1st game at the pro tier level.  Your avg score resets when you move up a tier.  The avg is based on 18 holes so your 44 was doubled, and your previous avg score is ignored.

  correct. when you advance a new tier, old scores are thrown out and average is calculate on the scores in the current tier.
