  Rock,

  I've seen this one before. It's a glitch of some sort where hitting the hole makes the game think the shot is over without registering the hole out. Interestingly, it has a brother. Hitting that flagstick can send the shot into the water. Maddeningly, this is one of the holes that sometimes won't let me remove the stick. Take the chance? Try a save and restart?

  Would have been no use. After this shot I was presented the next shot (a 0.2ft birdie putt), so it at least registered the end of the shot. When playing "live" I saw the exact same thing as in the replay. The ball just stopped all of a sudden. No bounce, nothing. Just hovering over the hole.

  Sorry. I wasn't clear. The save/restart is only if it won't let you remove the flag as protection against the "brother" scenario of bouncing into the water.
