Anzac Day is a time to reflect on the servicemen and servicewomen, past and present, who have displayed courage and self-sacrifice serving our country.

Anzac is Australian and New Zealand Corps and we are all indebited to the service you have given us. Another year of emotional Dawn services all over - many may be gone but we will never forget.

Well said. very good and moving local dawn service here! The afternoon will see me having a go at two up at the local RSL, whilst drinking beer with a few old ex service people! The likes of them give us the freedom's we have, and it should never be forgotten! We owe them a great gratitude!

    by John McCrae, May 1915

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
    In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
    In Flanders fields.
