You should be able to substitute your 3 iron for a hybrid as many do in real golf.  Besides, more money could be made because WGT could sell more clubs.

It's been mentioned many times but WGT say that they won't split iron sets.

It's that they won't, it's that they cannot (yet) as WGT explained some time back.

The iron sets are built in a "virtual batch"..not individually such as wood, putters and wedges.

Even if you could why would you want to? Most of the iron sets we have the 3 iron is better over all than any of the hybrids. Besides most people in real life play hybrids because they can't hit long irons. Here we don't have that problem. I would never give up my 1 and 3 irons for a hybrid.

    Sting,

In the case of the TM R11's, the hybrid is one of the most excellent clubs and allows superb distance even out of serious rough, so I would definitely prefer it to the Burner 3 iron - also a good club, but not so great from the rough. As it is, the club mostly sits unused because I can't justify it distance-wise.
