When we be able to change out our 3 iron for a 3 hybrid? Even the pros are using hybrids over their long irons.

Probably never. The irons are not programmed as single clubs but as a full set 3-PW. It would take a major major code rewrite to do that and then the pro shop would be a nightmare. Right now there are 3 pages of iron sets with 35 different sets. If they rewrote the code to make separate irons that would change to 27 pages with 35 iron sets plus 280 separate irons. And there would even more when they brought out new irons. And if you mixed and matched from different irons sets with your woods and wedges and putter you could end up with as many as 14 different meter speeds which would be another nightmare. What we have now may not be perfect but it is as good as it can get in my opinion. And most people use hybrids including the pros because they just can't hit long irons.  For me in real life I would never drop my 1 iron and 3 iron for a hybrid.

B 2 B i gotta ask you as you've possibly even owned a set , why is my P/W so pony ?           it's singularly the worst club in my bag, i'd ditch it tomorrow if i could.

Sadly I agree with B2B but it would be nice and more realistic.

What I would like to see added would be the introduction of one and two irons - perhaps at slower meter speeds so you could dump a three wood. It would be handy some courses and I still use both of these in real life when my driving goes AWOL and still out drive some players.

It would be nice. I'd change my 3 iron for a hybrid and swap my PW for the 115yd clevo.

If the irons are programmed as a complete set then i suggest every set of irons they programme from now on be able to do this.

I don't mind the iron set, except for the PW. Being forced to include that sucks, since there are much better wedges at that range.

As for the hybrid, for this game, once you've got some experience under your belt, and some better clubs, the hybrid is just virtually useless.

Can't see Mr. Ping allowing their PW swapped for a Mr. Cleve wedge on this ......................I hit a 3 iron way better here than IRL lol..................Now what's that about Sumitomo Rubber also owning Srixon :)

Game OK as it stands in that department IMHO.

I disagree. The hybrid is an awesome weapon when used to it's potential. They especially shine out of the deep stuff. I held off for probably the longest of anyone not going to 3 wedges and keeping the hybrid. If we had our choice I would swap the 3 iron for the hybrid immediately.

Here's an excerpt and replay from a post of my from 2 years ago about that the R11 hybrid.

"This is a result of the meter stopping short on me during my drive on hole #14 at CCC. Ended up way left behind some trees in 30/40% rough. I aim right of the front bunker and hit just before the first meter line to try and draw it around the trees in front of me with full backspin. For those that don't want to watch the replay the yardage on the shot was 200 with I *think* was 19ft up elevation."
