Played my first RG game the other day . The payout rules stated 200 credits for 5th to 10th place finish. I placed 8th but only received 144 credits. Can some one please explain where the other 56 credits are?

Supposedly a tie stretching over more than these 6 players. Then, all in the tie get the same from the pool of their nominal prize credits.

If I were to guess, 8th-14th were tied.  It works like the pro's on a tie, you group up all of the positions winnings and divide them by the number of players..

    (600 for 3@8-10 + 400 for 4@11-14th)/7 total players tied = 142.8

No need to guess, I checked his scores and the tie was from 7th to 15th.

    So 4×200 + 5×100 = 1300, divided by 9 = 144,44
