    Hello,

Im just wondering what the feature "feel" on the balls really means/does and how important is it?

I am stuck between 2 callaways ball 1 callaway has 1 1/2 feel less then the other, but is also 100cr cheaper.

It's the effect it has on the meter speed. The more dots the slower.

Yes, if you want serve you coffee or smoking a cigarette, take the max balls

Expensive one  but multi-fonction, pee time, coffee time, cigarette time  even yoga and kamasutra  is possible everything is possible with max lol

Stop kidding michel, the slower ball on the site is the max but   the better ball on the site is the nike level 71 and level 81 i think it's preferable to use it on legend tee,  and a must for players from master tee for 250 credits  you have a very good callaway level 33.

Michel your english  is like your game, you make no progress at all

My advice is NEVER to consider the MAX balls unless you have a medical condition and need that SLOW. They are good but expensive and compromises elsewhere, and a devil to to get used to normal speed balls again.

Any Cally is a very good ball.   As you progress you will learn more about spin, but at 250 credits the cally L33 ball has good distance and spin. Try top spin on wedges to get extra yardage / on drives in to the wind and so on..........Loads threads about all that stuff....

Give it a go and I am sure you will be fine! The L1 cally has a slower meter (called feel) but not as good elsewhere.  After that the toy shop has so many variant's...enjoy!

Go with the cheaper one, the Callaway (s) ball. It has more than enough spin and distance and won't hurt you as much if you miss the ding like the more expensive balls will. The slower you make that meter with a ball, the more it hurts when you miss the ding. Totally understandable, too.  :-)

I like the cally L37 balls. I tend to go for more spin, more distance. I did not know "feel" affects meter sped...thx for that

Is this true? Or is it something observed by a few? Or many?

I love the way my L71 Nikes translate, but I hit the ding about 10% of the time (a bit more on a good day). Prior to the Nike, I used the Callaway L33 iS. Trying to figure out the best way to test this.

See for yourself. Find a CTTH you like and play it with the different balls. Include the WGT ball in your test, like one of those freebies they give out (GI-SD.) The Tour-SD has the fastest meter so you would expect to have trouble dinging it right off but you will be amazed at how you don't get hosed by missed hits with it like you do with the others.

The first hole at Pinehurst is a 191 yard shot to a big green with an excellent rev cam view. Easy to restart and get different winds.  Good for your 3, 4 and 5 irons. #2 is 118 out, good for the wedges. The rest of the course uses just about all your clubs.

    I saw this -

    http://www.wgt.com/forums/p/166617/1128542.aspx

I too have now played a couple of Legend tier tournament rounds, at Merion and Bethpage, with the 250 credits

    TaylorMade Lethal Balls (L7+)

    instead of the 450 credits

    Nike 20XI-X Balls (L71+)

    I usually play.

At 250 credits a sleeve I highly recommend giving the TaylorMade ball a try.

It's quite possible I have bought my last sleeve of Nike balls.
