Since I am new and only at level 7, can anyone recommend to me what equipment would be best to start with?  I only have 80 credits now (working on that), and I have purchased one set of new balls for 10 credits looking for a little additional distance.

Clubs seem expensive, but I'm trying to figure if it's best to focus on irons, wedges, putter, driver, etc...

The way I did it was to play a whole whack of ranked rounds and watch my statistics to see where I was most lacking.  LOL I'm not sure, but I think I was about Level 60 Pro tier and I was STILL undecided, but I did notice that I was really counting on downwind drives to make the fairways on some holes (St. Andy's #7 comes to mind.....).  The level 57 G20 brought my average down about 10 strokes in a couple of weeks.

You might not be patient enough to wait as long as I did, but keep track of your statistics and how you're striking the ball to see where you might benefit from a club upgrade.  I'd be willing to bet that most start with upgrading their driver (but get a driver that you can use for several more levels and a couple more tiers at least).

Some get to master with starter gear! Soon you may consider something above the stone starter ball.  Stick with it and make sure you play every day to get ALL your point's......

You will notice you need only one quick hole days you are in a rush.

You are still only level 8.  Keep playing and get up a few levels by playing everyday, and then ask again I would say.

In the meantime also watch all the video's in earn free credits / survey's if wish..............

Patience is required. IMO you will be wasting credits buying equipment until you are at LEAST in the mid level 30s. Any equipment you buy until then will not last as you tier up.

Obviously better gear does make the game easier, so if you have money to burn, do so, if not wait. It does not take long to level up by playing everyday and use this time to practice your game and hone your skills. Read the forums for tips and be willing to learn (hit me up for a game if you would like some tips). The most important thing s to enjoy the game - don't stress about not scoring well as this will come with practice.
