Anyone remember this game? Spent most of my free time in the early 90's playing and designing courses. Only stopped when I went on the road as a truck driver.

Just found WGT about a month ago and I'm always looking for a round.

Like I did... but with PGA2000 championship golf (sorry for my english, i am french...).

There was a design golf courses option in the game named "golf architect" and it was funny to design real or fantasy course. I have try to redraw "Augusta national", what a work !... the more difficult was to find the ground elevations...

There was also a feature to play with others players all over the world and when you played a championship, there was the crowd with the applause and even TV commentators...

    Take care on the road.

Old thread and these 2 are gone but, yeah, I've been playing it.

The signature edition has better gfx than the older one which really inspired me to seek out computer golf games back circa. 1987.

I found the software and emulator all free online. I can stream on Twitch without any trouble. The cool thing is you can design courses, and you have full control of all the construction factors. I made 3 so far and one is a par 3 course. Then you can give your courses to someone else who can import the files.

You can create computer opponents and tailor their abilities to challenge your game.

I played STA on Champ tees, advance player (3 levels are novice, advanced and expert) and I just about made par. The fast 3 click meter is all the deviation you'll need. I'm big on missing those 4 footers, too. Timing is everything.

The SE also can import courses from the old game. I found a few add ons so I have about 20 famous courses, but with only about 3 that I can't locate. (Oak Hill, Royal Troon, Kemper Lakes)

These are the ones I have:

    English Turn

    Sherwood

    Saint Andrews

    Saint Creek

    Saint Mellion

    Shoal Creek

    Desert Mountains

    Castle Pines

    Lorimar resort

    Australian

    Medinah

    Baltusrol

    Crooked Stick

    Hazeltine National

    Oakmont

    Pebble Bch

    Royal Birkdale

    Muirfield Village

    The Bear's Track

    Jack's Greatest 18 (assorted):

    1  8th Pebble Bch

    2  14th St Andrews

    3  10th Riviera

    4  4th Baltusrol

    5  13th Augusta

    6   18th Muirfield

    7   7th Pebble Bch

    8    19th Oakmont

    9    12th St Andrews

    10    10th Augusta

    11   11th Merion

    12   12th Augusta

    13   18th Riviera

    14   17th Baltusrol

    15   12th Royal Lytham

    16   7th Augusta

    17   17th St Andrews

    18    18th Pebble Bch

    Custom by me:

    Majestic Mountains (par 3)

    Crystal Lakes

    Rolling Rocks

I think it's just as fun to design a course on a computer as playing the game.

    JF,

I had a huge collection of JN6 courses. Unfortunately most were on floppy discs.  LOL

I'm sure that you can find the courses you want at goldenbearsden.com

I totally agree that it is still great fun to play and I enjoyed being able to design my own courses.

    Dave

Oops. I actually was talking about JN6.  Don't know where my JNSE files are anymore.

I had the game back about 1990, I loved it. Muirfield village, Pebble Beach were on that game. I made a few courses too.

I had 3 1/2 disks with mine, before Hard Drives and using a XT
