Working out shots can be very useful as well.
I get it. People complain no matter what's done. Still, creating an unlimited entry tournament with zero wind and letting that count as a ranked round is retarded.
Your proshop is littered with an ever increasing array of equipment that slows the meter, maxes out accuracy and forgiveness, stops on a dime from 230 yards up hill with a tailwind, and balls that fly farther and have more spin than anything ever seen before...
And most of this equipment is available to only the highest level players. The "best" players all have this equipment, enabling them to shoot increasingly ridiculous scores. Now you give them Olympic with no wind.
That's fine icon. WGT can do whatever it wants, but a game I used to respect is becoming a joke.
I just introduced my girlfriend's sons to the game and they love it. They love it because they're 12 year olds and they just discovered that hitting golf balls is fun. I enjoy playing with them too, but this game is now more geared for their 12 year old minds than my 42 year old golfer's brain.
WGT has taken the low road. WGT has become a glorified (and much prettier) version of Tiger Woods Golf and its ridiculous scoring. The 12 year olds absolutely love it.
As for the complaints that come from all corners, as I understand it, WGT uses this forum as a way to monitor feedback. This is my feedback.
