    MBaggese:
if some choose to believe they "need" something to compete...well...live with it, complain about it, etc.

Twas only ever when it is available..............Could easily say please all people that have it explain why you felt you needed it.....................The answer is obvious at least we can all agree on that bit. Differing view's were worthwhile though! Now off to the driving range:)

It's pretty simple really. A more forgiving & longer driver leads to easier hitting the fairway w/ distance... leads to easier approaches... leads to easier putts.

Many above avg. players aren't as consistent as they'd like from the tees w/ a club like the R11, especially when the meter gets shaky, so it sure would help them to hit the fairway a bit more. It doesn't mean the R11s is needed to compete, but one extra shot into the rough per round &/or not having enough club to reach a long par 4 or 5 green can easily add up to 2 or more strokes per round. And losing 2 or more strokes in a round makes it a lot tougher for even the best players to compete at a high level.

Just when I was finally getting over the whole R11s switch, now there's a new driver available at L93... for limited time only.

Once again it looks like it'll disappear just about the time those of us at L91-L92 are able to qualify for it.
