You're in the rough. 40% to 50% rough.

How much more club do you need for the distance of the shot because of the rough?

Example - You're 50 yards from the green in 40% to 50% rough. You want to play for some roll after landing on the green and leave the backspin indicator where the auto caddy puts it.

Use the 40% value - 40% of 50 yards is 20 yards. Use the club that will normally hit the ball 70 yards (50 yards + 40% (20 yards) = 70 yards.

If you want to play for less less roll and move the spin indicater to or near the bottom of the ball -  use 50% - 50 + 25 = 75 yards

AFAIS this calculus doesn't work too well:

Wedges will shoot longer than that from any %% surface,

long clubs will shoot considerably shorter.

Courses act differently on the shots.

    Examples with Satins and G20s:

Had a 60 yds shot from 40% rough at Merion, took the 77 yds wedge to 12 feet - 25% reduction only.

From 170 yds out, e.g. on CCC, I opt for a punch, pull the meter a wee bit more and hope for fairway for the bump&roll from 90 yds carry length. A full shot would stay way short. At Merion, I'd take my pill and wedge out probably.
