I'm asking on behalf of a friend because I can't quite explain it correctly.  I've been playing several Level 80's and 90's players, who's average score is in the 80's or so.  I thought you leveled up based upon play, who you played as long as they were equal or higher, and an overall proof that you've become a better player by playing consistently. That your scores and handicap backed up your achieved level.  Is it possible that some players are basically buying Boost to get this high?  You can tell they don't play up to the level they are rated at and I'm not sure why it's becoming a constant thing.  If someone does it, fine.  But if I wanted to get into a game with players who's skill level is, say half of mine, then I'd choose to do that.  So long and short of it, someone got an easy answer?

Level is not how you rate players, its the avg and tier.

you can play each course 20 over par and be at level 100.

level is just how much you play(xp points)

you tier up based on your avg. and by winning games over better tiered players.

Levels are based on XP. Tiers are based on playing ability.

Each game u play u gain XP...each level has a certain amt of points you have to get. You accumulate points by playing... and as Bubba said  tiering up is by performance.....and you can only use the boost from lvls 40-65...after that...your on your own...but also... when you get to a new tier...your avg starts over...so if they shot some bad rounds its probably because of the avg restart...

You sayin' or askin':)......................bubbadork is correct, no mess up!

Levels are XP ONLY, and Tier's are ability based (sandbagging sadly does exist though)....

The OP can check out the pro shop's accessories department to see what product's are available to help with leveling up.
