if there were such a thing as a best putter, then all the best players would use it,

I just went through the top 30 legends, there is no winner, it´s very even between the best 4 putters.

ghostlvl 92, nike 77, odyssey lvl 70 and the rossa are all used on top level.

So only one conclusion, a good putter will drop shots if he/she  has a good tool and talent.

    Edited to prevent backlash.

You shouldn't edit you posts... unless Wgt does it. Now we are wondering what you wanted to say....lol

This is an open forum and everybody has the right of there own opinion..  right or wrong it really doesn't matter....  within reason of course... we don't want to offend anybody.

Just a thing about the stats comment ... no drama really....  putting stats are not really true as you see em.

For me as example...  My putting is heaps better than what my stats show... I was a slow learner and struggled big time on the greens in my younger years...with nearly 3500 ranked rounds... close to 60,000 putts. So the stats are worked out from day dot.

It would be nice if the Stats were split up into Tiers. That would make it a very interesting read.

+1  - that would be a better indication of one's current playing ability.

+1 again.  Also if you could split by course, and so on for that matter. Generally WGT could do so much more in this area...another one on the to do list (:

I know when I entered Legend I was all over the place.  Not saying I am anywhere near the finished article yet (well I hope I have it in me to improve more and a couple of recent accomplishment's after hard work are nice), but as some one who just came across the game and played, no friends to get tips from or any prior knowledge my stats are reflective of that I think.  Hell I don't think I even thought to look at them until nearly average 61.? as a TM, and then only the average bit. Being able to break things down would be very interesting for me, but not that interesting to start creating excel spread sheets - I do enough of that elsewhere to start bothering on what is my de-stressing fun........................As say add it to the list if the list can be found LOL Speaking of which did not WGT get a wish list sometime ago - one they asked for?  I guess the report to the community must be nigh, and there goes 215 flying pig squadron btw lol

I use the MAX Master. Distance control is great. It's fast meter so can be frustrating if trying to ding everything. I rarely try to ding any putt, except dead straight putts.

It takes some getting used to but when you get hot with a MAX you can threaten the hole from just about anywhere.
