  Merion won the week, Rose won the tournament. A great test and a fine Champion.

  English and proud! Merion is a hard course. Well done to Justin Rose a deserving winner.

  Though the American failed to win the U.S Open, respect to Phil Mickelson who played very well to draw with New Zealand's Jason Day for second place. 

  Watching the highlights of this tournament makes you realize how good these guys are.

  I live in the fine country that is Australia these days but I am very much English, and obvioulsy enjoyed that!

  I had the privilege to watch a a fair chunk of the tournament including the final stages.  Right up to Phil's last wedge shot was actually taken it was touch and go...Any one else other than Mr. Mickelson taking that shot maybe the tension would not have been so huge. Well done to many player's and well done ARDMORE, Pa. for hosting a fantastic spectacle of sport!
