It is good advice, problem is most people are fixated on their own ability, and anyone better then them must be cheating. It comes from their mommies telling them how great they were while they were still suckling at the age of 5.
The cheat engine and the auto dinger is, IMHO, is the extreme very least of our worries. I'll play anyone using those cheat tools, as they are likely not very good, the tools will get them closer, but still no cigar.
The low low scores are coming from another place then those particular cheat tools, people are just that good. When the game used to cooperate, clubs and green breaks could be mathematically mapped to extreme precision.
Now, not so much, now it's a lottery for many of us, but obviously not all of us, whether the game will cooperate or not, however the players with the skills or precise mapping and a cooperating game will shoot the low low scores.
The cheaters will continue their quest to short cut to success, however will just frustrate themselves in that futile attempt.
