Yesterday after playing rounds with friends to see how black R1 & white R1 compared i posted that there was a clear difference in drivers and was getting out driven on most holes by the player using Whit R1. Today I've played same player at Bethpage and wwas amazed to find on first few holes when we both used backspin i was out driving him by 10 to 20 yards, then on hole 4 we both used no spin and drive was identical. After hole 5 he was out driving me on a few holes as well.
I'm glad to say that the white and black are identical drivers and want to apologize to WGT for stating that the black was inferior. Yes I should have given things more time, but It was only a reaction after what i saw on those first 4 rounds that i played (all on courses like Bethpage and congressional with lush fairways)
Who knows, maybe wgt have made driver identical due to all the fuss we made yesterday.lol (joking) Or maybe my clearing cache was corrupt and i was still using R11s attributes??? But on a serious note. sorry WGT for what i posted on seeing my observations yesterday, and thanks for giving us this driver at an earlier level.
Its not the driver that is inferior, Its just how the game manipulates our drives (in a good way) You'll all notice on some holes you will out drive opponent by 1 to 20 yards yet game then favors opponent and he/she might out drive you. This was definitely the case in my last round. I was driving way ahead until hole 4, then he started hitting them longer.
Any way. THANKS AGAIN WGT, and sorry for any grief. yes, yesterday the driver did seem inferior, but after playing today i'm very pleased to see it identical to the White R1. Go one folks, rush out and buy It, ITS THE REAL DEAL. (for a few days at least.lol)
And a tip: When using no spin your drives wont go as far as when you use back spin with this driver
The R1 is AWESOME, I missed the ding by this much early (--------) on Congressional 5, would have been in 50% rough with R11s, but was amazed to be bang in middle of f'way and out driven my friend with White r1) AMAZING...NIce 1 WGT you soon see how good It is.
A friend even thought his white r1 was INFERIOR after i was out driving him by 10+ yards. Has wgt done something to shut us up.LOL
