It's probably from close tee's and it is Dan. The mans a genius. Expect to see a 49 at some point.
49 is doable. Forward tees, so no. 3 is a nice full driver distance. 16 is the only tricky eagle - tough to get near the pin tight left to the bunker with a 4 iron in. I had a one-off go for a laugh to see if I could do it, but only managed a 51 :-(
Just finished my first round in 3 weeks in this tourney and shot a 53. Missed a chip in for eagle at 11 and lipped three birdie putts, because, well, ...it is Kiawah. Same conditions that the first 49 was posted I believe.

haha yea i remember that tournament last year
played it a few times trying to get the best score then the 49 appeared i gave up
