Par 3 tournaments are a great way to get XP since the bonus is the same as a regular tournament; you're only missing out on 10 or 15 points from the actual strokes. 85k XP still takes close to 200 plays, but spread out over a month or two, that's very doable. No need to use anything better than the starter ball, either, since the scores don't count for anything.

It's going to seriously screw with your stats though and I can't help thinking that after a month or two playing with starter balls on slow greens your 'eye' is going to be seriously out when you get back to 'real putting. Having said that if I was anything like 'in range' I would probably do the same.

Stats are stats, personally they mean nothing as it is only a career overview. If you used starters for a year like me, they will always look poor. Every player knows his or her strengths and weaknesses. However this could count in your favour if people are scoping out MPC's etc.

The benefit is the starters ball, and I do this every so often. Use it for a practice round or two, then any ball feels like a Max in comparison (especially with the R11 irons). The greens speed could be an issue IMO lol, I cant handle slow at the best of times!

But as I said in another thread, all these players just trying to level up - really is a loss for WGT as they are all using starters balls - I think it would be prudent to say folks, level 91 or 92 it is yours, please stock up on balls on the way out of the proshop., have  a great day.

True.  But I'm willing to bet the powers that be never thought about the option of starter balls.  I bet they were only seeing tons of ball usage.

So true, I was only about 12000 XP short, and worked out my fastest was was the Par 3 Course, starters ball and hit and hope - 12 minutes a round and got there in no time so advised others to do so via CC Comps to max the XPs. So with that in mind and a LOT of players taking this route, there is still time to change - the lost revenue from ball sales is not worth it IMO.

If something does not go as planned - make changes.

I wonder how many XP's are in a CC CTTH Tourney?

Not many, expecially in comparison to an 18 hole stroke round (par 3s) where in 12-15 minutes you have in excess of 450 XP.

I am in this boat, and won't let it  beat me. starter balls and Par3's

but don't forget at 3,500 credits, the equivalent to 10 sleeves of balls, I don't think WGT care
