Can Wgt tell us whether the VEM effects on putting nowday much more than in the past? It seem to be harder for putting recently.

Yes i would say it definitely does effect putting. I wouldn't say all the time though. There's so many things to take into account on putting like green speed, wind, break of the green through every foot of the putt, elevation and at what point it starts/finishes to elevate. Only 1 of those things has to be worked out wrong and you've missed.

I can answer this: No, WGT will not tell you whether or not VEM is effecting putting or not.

Im with Dazza on this in that I am sure it does, I am sure there is some variation, how much i have no idea

This is why i don't think VEM affects putting-there's just too many variables.Getting to the green is where VEM affects the game, making it all about putting. If you can putt, you can score.  :-)

i think its where i see it most not being a strong putter . there are rounds where i cant miss anything inside 30 and others where i struggle with to make any thing inside 10 ....

Now that you put it that way I can see the logic, FS. I always just figured the cup got smaller or something like that and putts had to be perfect. Does sound like a VEM move when you think about it.  :-)
