Me and my good friend were wondering what is the criteria to become Tour Legend? Also in Match play if you beat a tour Legend  a few times will that make you level up quicker like the lower levels??

Don't know for sure  - but a few Legends have beaten me since  I was a TL and it hasn't changed their average at all

Sorry Jim - Had to Edit that when I checked my stats - no wins v TLS     lol

Ya, that stops when you make Legend. It's only to get the lower tiers where they belong (sort of.)

After a certain number of ranked rounds played during each tier, you will "saturate." The best X number of rounds at each tier will provide your average score.

    • When you have played 5 ranked rounds as Hack and achieve an average of 100.00 or lower, you are promoted to Amateur.
    • When you have played 10 ranked rounds as Amateur and achieve an average of 80.00 or lower, you are promoted to Pro.
    • When you have played 20 ranked rounds as Pro and achieve an average of 72.00 or lower, you are promoted to Tour Pro.
    • When you have played 25 ranked rounds as Tour Pro and achieve an average of 67.00 or lower, you are promoted to Master.
    • When you have played 40 ranked rounds as Master and achieve an average of 63.00 or lower, you are promoted to Tour Master.
    • When you have played 50 ranked rounds as Tour Master and achieve an average of 61.00 or lower, you are promoted to Legend.
    • When you have played 500 ranked rounds as Legend and achieve an average of 60.00 or lower, you are promoted to Tour Legend.

However! Certain game types can lower your average, sometimes drastically enough to promote you "early." For example, winning a Match Play round against a higher tiered player can provide such a result (prior to reaching Legend), for better or for worse.  Once you reach Legend, ranked Stroke play rounds are the only way to lower your average (currently).

Does that hold true with all Stroke play?  I like doing weekly/monthly tournaments, but I really don't want to play random stroke games with random people.  Tournies are scored as "stroke", but I wasn't sure if they're considered "stroke" for the purpose of counting ranked rounds and average.

    All except practice mode.

In my last CC as a TM, I had a terible time avoiding legends in MP, and there was a lot of league and presidents cup matches going on, so I had to play practice mode all the time.

But I was keen to make legend in the traditional way, so a couple of wins in RG did it for me.

I bought the R11's as soon as I made level 90, then got kicked from the CC for swearing in the chat shoutbox.

    Oh well, life moves on.
