R11 8 iron drives me nuts ,it's not consistent at all,,,can't get it dialed and it usually cost me a stroke or two every round,WGT can you do something to program it to be as consistent as the rest of the R11's ..can anyone using the R11's give me a hint on what it takes to dial it in,,,,,

I've noticed of late , its getting a lot more erratic ........ tonight its been anywhere from  5 - 20 yds short most of the time , then just as you get used to it and add the extra , it goes 10 yds long.

Play for 153yds full backspin with the OP's balls. Be aware that a slight mishit can easily cost you 5 or 10 yards, so dinging is a premium. And also into the wind shots will tend to go slightly further than whatever your calculations would normally suggest.

If you are still stumped, I believe it is possible to make the flight more predictable by adding a few yards to the shot using a little less backspin, and removing the same number of yards with less power on the meter.

OK head up over the parapet lol, and not saying that club won't do some odd things:

Nike 81 ball @ 95% BS hit 96% power will go 141 yards.  Ease of the spin to say 85% and hit @ 98% power and you can get 149 yards. It's easy to stretch that to a reliable 151 yards at which point the 7 iron mercifully has begun to be a good option. Put 100% anything on the 8 iron and more chance of winning the lotto millions...............The RSG 0 wind I was getting those same yardages time over.  My thought's.....

Personally, I rarely use any backspin on 8 iron -because sometimes it "takes" and sometimes it don't! So-play whatever percentage of full shot is called for -unless full back yardage is spot on AND have no better alternative- then hit 'n pray, lol. Like many others- I hate having a shot of 145-150 yards- rather have 230!

i try to avoid it as much as i can. i would rather a longer approach shot on a iron i can trust. to a short approach with a club whats so inconsistant. only advice i can give really.
