Last night and this morning I played matches against a person who became disqualified for failing to swing at ball. Warning, 1 stroke penalty, 2 stroke penalty, disqualified and removed. Yet at the end of the game the were listed as winner and only the strokes they had until disqualified were counted.

It does not appear to affect their average as I checked the last player this happened to and it still shows his average as the same. Don't think its an exploit unless you get points for winning the match. Both times were during Stroke Play, both may have been on St. Andrews but I'm only certain that 2nd one was.

    hi

it's likely a scorecard error, so they actually didn't post a score but it showed an error in the scorecard. I wouldn't worry about it.

This happened to me also. I was beating a higher ranked player (master) with a 67 average on the seventh hole of a 9 hole ranked stroke play. I was (-2) he was (-1). I birdied the 7th hole putting me at -3 and a 2 stroke lead. He had a par putt left and never took it - timed out and disqualified. I finished out the game with a -3 and it showed him as the winner. This has happened before to me. WHAT'S THE DEAL?
