    Hi all,

I got on today and had 2 inv for a CC. I don't know the people that sent them and it doesn't say what club. however, I was wondering what is the advantage or perks that are within a CC? I'm pretty new and not very good so I haven't considered a club yet. any insight will be VM appreciated.

    thanx

Clubs give you more chance of winning tournaments as they are just for the members and in a good club there are lots of fun things going on like inter-club games and alt-shot, match-play and starter club competitions. But the best thing about joining a club is you make more friends and chat in your own forum and build up friendly rivalries.Clubs vary in size and some people prefer small more intimate ones while others prefer large where you get more competition and a busier forum. I've heard a few people say that if it wasn't for their club they wouldn't stay here. Hope that helps. :-)

thanx court.. I found out what the CC were that were sending me invites, one was a gambling one and the other I think was just recruiting. I'm going to hold off until I feel there is one right for me. TYVM!

That's a good idea. Also it might be a good idea to join one where a lot of the members are from your time zone or it can get a bit lonely.

What Courteney has to say is 100% true, especially the sentence in bold.  Going outside the club to play, or playing in the world as we call it, just doesn't happen unless I know the people and respect their game and judgement.  The friendships that develop within a club, however, are true friendships and not just necessarily associated with the WGT experience.  Our club is 95% veterans and that is a great foundation to build the club on.

Do the games in the Country Club count as Stroke Play Rank Rounds or is that only outside the Country Clubs?  Meaning are they like tournaments where if you win your avg goes lower and more likely to move up in tier?

    Yes, they do.

What Paul said... and they offer more XP than a regular stroke round does.

Moving up in tier usually has some minimum requirements...no one really knows WGT algorithms but this is pretty much accurate based on experiences of players here on WGT.

    MOVING UP TO AMATEUR*
    5 RANKED ROUNDS
AVG SCORE IS 100 OR LOWER
    MOVING UP TO PRO*
    10 RANKED ROUNDS
AVG SCORE IS 80 OR LOWER
    MOVING UP TO TOUR PRO*
      20 RANKED ROUNDS
AVG SCORE IS 72 OR LOWER
    MOVING UP TO MASTER*
    25 RANKED ROUNDS
AVG SCORE OF 67 OR LOWER
    MOVING UP TO TOUR MASTER*
    40 RANKED ROUNDS
AVG SCORE OF 63 OR LOWER
    MOVING UP TO LEGEND
    50 RANKED ROUNDS
AVG SCORE OF 61 OR LOWER
    MOVING UP TO TOUR LEGEND
    500 RANKED ROUNDS
AVG SCORE OF 60 OR LOWER

There have been lots of players that just go out to find a person of higher rank that they might beat in match play to quickly reduce their average but I wouldn't recommend doing that.  The experience you gain from shooting your way to Legend is far more valuable than just having the title "Legend".  Besides, getting to Legend too quickly and you won't be able to get the equipment that you need to really succeed from those tees.  Getting there really depends on what you want out of the game.
