    pjctas0822:

What is general  maintenance ? Please leave the meter alone despite the recent complaints those people more than likely dont even try to optimize their Flash Gaming experience.

Pj, i will say something very strange happened with the meter. My meter after the last update was as smooth as i ever seen since here. I mean butter!

Lasted one day. Don't get me wrong meter today is still not bad, but nothing like that first day. They did something for sure. My meter now is semi smooth, about like is has been forever.

    Hmm? Something is up mate.

I was in a game and was notified after teeing off with a friend, about the third hole in. And so, we did not finish the round...sad. Perhaps when we log in we will receive the notice or just before going into a game it will show before we do tee off...i rarely look to the forum for such things but do time to time to see what is up, just not this time.  ;)

Agreed, WGT need to give us more lead time on downtime notifications. How long can a 4-player 18-hole Stroke Play round take? A lot longer than an hour; with the between-holes delays, a few false disconnects and a group of slow players I'd guess close to three. So to be fair, notification should be at least double that -- six hours minimum.

If, by six hours in advance, your people are not sure whether a downtime will be able to take place as scheduled, you can give the warning as "downtime is tentatively scheduled for...", and then when you're sure you will meet the timeline, change it to "downtime will begin at...", or else if you fail to get the preparations done, change it to "tonight's previously scheduled downtime has been postponed until..." Simple. Effective. Keeps your members informed. Everybody happy.
