  I have worked hard over the past 3 days bettering my average... buying new clubs... etc. Tonight I played ONE ROUND (I actually clicked on it as a practice round) and I goofed around trying to get used to my new clubs.) My average over 4 days went to 80 (I probably played 15-20 9 or 18 hole during that time). After the single round that I thought was practice.. it showed up as a round that was counted.. and my average went from 80-94!! In ONE round? What's going on here?

  Average resets after every tier advancement. You moved up a tier and your one round was a 47 for 9 holes. Multiply by two and that gives you a 94 as your 18 hole average at the new tier. 

  I see you have played a few more games after that one today and your average has already started coming down.

  Stay calm - the score and it's effect on the average will cease after 20 ranked rounds. Prepare for a huge average drop then!

  Thank you so much for your responses. Yes.. I played a few rounds after I posted this and figured they reset the average after a rank change. I appreciate you taking the time to read and respond to me! Hopefully the average will work it's way back down!
